LF Energy is a Linux Foundation project that supports multi-vendor collaboration and open source innovation in the energy and electricity sectors. We are excited to foster progress and a neutral shared environment in this important space.
LF Energy offers two levels of membership for for-profit entities (Premier and General) and an Associate membership level for academic and nonprofit institutions (requires board approval). The legal entity for LF Energy is The Linux Foundation, and membership in The Linux Foundation is required to become a member of LF Energy.
Governance
The Governing Board is responsible for the business oversight of the LF Energy Foundation, with a Technical Advisory Council responsible for assisting in the coordination of, and communication among, the various technical efforts and projects supported by LF Energy. For each project, there is an independent Technical Charter overseen by a Technical Steering Committee. View the LF Energy Foundation Charter and a template for a Technical Project Charter.
